Moonlight Sonata

It feels like floating somewhere in space. Where there is only you and the moonlight sonata. It lulls you into a trance, a momentary trance, and just when you think you have transcended space and time…you are brought back to reality.

There is a theory that human beings have a inherent need to experience altered states of consciousness. And some of the ways of experiencing them is through art (e.g. a piece of music) or by love or by prayer and meditation and sadly even using drugs. The theory may explain our affinity towards all or some of the above.

I think prayer trumps them all.

"Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart" - Mahatma Gandhi
